The words
Look on my sorrows and deliver me, For I do not forget your law, O LORD. Redeem my soul and vindicate my cause; Preserve my life according to your word.
The wicked will not see deliverance, Because they do not follow your decree. According to your justice guard my life; How great is your compassion, LORD, for me!
How many are my persecuting foes! Yet from your laws I have not turned away. I look upon the faithless with disgust, Because your holy word they disobey.
Consider how I love your precepts, LORD, And in your loving-kindness strengthen me. The word that you have spoken is the truth; Your righteous laws will stand eternally.
