Psalm 119

Setting

Teach me to follow your decrees;

Free Church of Scotland psalter · L.M.

Verses 33–40 of Psalm 119

The words

Teach me to follow your decrees; Then I will keep them to the end. Give insight, and I’ll keep your law, With all my heart to it attend.

Lead me in your commandments’ path, For there, O LORD, delight I find. Incline my heart towards your laws; From selfish gain preserve my mind.

O turn my eyes from worthless things; Give life according to your word. To me, your servant, keep your pledge, So that you may be feared, O LORD.

Remove from me the shame I dread; Your laws excel in uprightness. O how I long for your decrees! Preserve me in your righteousness.

How is this list ordered?

Curated pairings come first — a tune a curator recorded against this text, with the fitness they recorded. A tune that merely shares the meter is listed as a tune in the same meter and never as a pairing.

Nothing here is ranked by popularity or use. The page reports what a curator recorded, not a verdict of its own.
